This course will highlight the importance of the auditing process to ensure standards and procedures are being adhered to in the workplace. The course will outline various procedures associated with auditing for technical and safety managers.

Combining formal lectures and discussions, Auditing for Safety Managers will give you the skills, confidence and qualifications to:

  • Discuss the importance of quality control and quality assurance systems are derived and followed.
  • Describe how quality control and quality assurance systems are derived and followed.
  • Differentiate between three levels of audits.
  • Effectively prepare for an audit.
  • Demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to be an effective auditor.
  • Outline the correct way to conduct an audit.
  • Discuss the importance of selecting the correct members to make up an audit team.
  • Explain how a lead auditor performs the task.
  • State the importance of verification an audit trail.
  • Explain how to conduct an audit opening and closing meeting.
  • Analyse the importance of protocols and check lists.

Timing

The course will be delivered over five days with 30 hours of lectures. Students will need to complete a written examination within a week of completion. They will also need to complete 70 hours of additional work and submit a relevant project within six weeks of the written examination.

On successful completion of a CPD Certificate course you get:
