Refund Policy

Cancellations
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) to change the content and timing of an event, the date, venue or instructor/presenters. NISO reserves the right to cancel an event up to and including the date of the event if insufficient bookings have been received. We will strive to give as much notice as possible in such a case. In all cases, persons who registered to attend a cancelled event will be given the option of a full refund or of rescheduling to a future event date but NISO disclaim any further liability.

Payments Policy
Unless otherwise agreed in writing payment in full for all events is due prior to the commencement of the event. Payment in advance may be required from purchasers without an account and/or purchase order. Places cannot be confirmed until full payment is received. Refund Policy Cancellation charges depend on when the written cancellation notice is received. A full refund will be given only if more than 2 weeks’ written notice is given of a cancellation: • Over 2 weeks’ cancellation notice: Full refund • 1 – 2 weeks cancellation notice: 50% refund • Less than 7 days cancellation notice: No refund unless in exceptional circumstances for which a medical certificate may be requested.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance or if no prior notice of cancellation is given. Any refunds due will be issued after the event.

Substitution Policy
Alternatively, a substitute delegate can be named at any time before the event. There will be no extra surcharge for making a substitution.

Quality and Re-Assessment Policy [NISO courses]
In the event of a candidate failing an assessment, it is the responsibility of the candidate to arrange the date and payment for the reassessment direct with the course provider or assessment body if required. NISO will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of failure.
