Employers have a duty to provide a safe place of work and skip lorries are a place of work. Attendees will improve knowledge and understanding of the key steps needed to prevent injuries in the use of waste collection skip lorries. We aim to discuss the legal duties for employers, self employed and operators in the industry and how to identify hazards, assess risks and put in place the correct controls to reduce dangers and prevent injuries. We have recently carried out an inspection campaign in the industry and we plan to discuss our findings to the benefit of all in the industry.
