NISO supports Project Edward

National Irish Safety Organisation supports European Day Without A Road Death (Project EDWARD) on 21 September.
Project EDWARD is an initiative organised by TISPOL, the Traffic Police network in Europe, and is being supported in Ireland by the Road Safety Authority and An Gardai Siochana.
To date this year 118 people have been killed on Irish roads, an increase of 14 on the number of people killed in the same period last year. 26,300 people were killed on Europe’s roads in 2015. The aim of Project EDWARD is that no one should die on the roads of Europe on Wednesday 21 September 2016. So on 21 September, we are asking you to think about how you use the roads.
Small actions can lead to significant, life-changing improvements. You have the power to make a real difference by making a simple choice -to behave as a responsible and safe road-user, every time you use the roads.
