Nominations for membership of the Executive Committee of NISO

The National Irish Safety Organisation is open to receiving nominations for election at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting from the general membership of NISO for participation on NISO’s Executive Committee for a period of two years.

The Annual General Meeting of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG. will take place on Saturday, 27 April 2024 at 12 noon in the Castletroy Park Hotel, Dublin Road, Limerick, Ireland V94 Y0AN [in conjunction with the All Ireland Safety Quiz Final].

In accordance with Article 85 (i) of the Constitution (Articles of Association), you are hereby invited to propose any member qualified to attend and vote for election to the National Executive.

There are two vacancies of a two year tenure and if more than two persons are nominated an election will be held at the Annual General Meeting. In this case a description of candidates may be sent to all members in advance of the AGM.

Such nominations must be made in writing on the nomination form and returned to the undersigned not later than 5.00pm on Friday, 29 March 2024. The nomination must be signed by a member duly qualified to attend and vote at the meeting and by the person willing to be elected indicating his/her willingness to act on the Executive Committee of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG, if elected.

It has been general practice in NISO that elected members’ expenses are paid by the firm, organisation or company that he/she represents. There have been exceptional circumstances in the past when NISO have paid expenses but due to the financial constraints placed on the Organisation no guarantee can be given that NISO will be in a position to pay for any of these expenses.

Nominations for position as director* of NISO

The National Irish Safety Organisation is open to receiving nominations for election at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting from the general membership of NISO for the position as a director of NISO for a period of two years.

The Annual General Meeting of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG. will take place on Saturday, 27 April 2024 at 12 noon in the Castletroy Park Hotel, Dublin Road, Limerick, Ireland V94 Y0AN [in conjunction with the All Ireland Safety Quiz Final].

In accordance with Article 58 of the Constitution (Articles of Association), you are hereby invited to propose any member qualified to attend and vote for election as a director of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG.

There are three vacancies of a two year tenure and if more than three persons are nominated an election will be held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  The three directors retiring by rotation have offered themselves for re-election: (i) Harry Galvin (ii) Michael O’Neill (iii) Philip Thornton

Such nominations must be made in writing on the nomination form and returned to me on or after 6 April 2024 but not later than 12 noon on Wednesday, 24 April 2024. The nomination must be signed by a member duly qualified to attend and vote at the meeting and by the person willing to be elected indicating his/her willingness to be a director of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG, if elected.

AGM Resolutions

Any fully paid up member of NISO may propose a resolution, or resolutions, for consideration at the AGM of The National Irish Safety Organisation CLG.  Such resolutions must be submitted, in writing, duly proposed and seconded by NISO members to reach the undersigned not later than 5.00pm on Friday, 29 March 2024.

Annual General Meeting

Notice of the Annual General Meeting will be sent to members at least 21 days in advance of the meeting.
