Our Staff

NISO’s Secretariat is based at NISO’s head office in Ballymount, a couple of minutes from junction 10 off the M50 in South Dublin. It’s managed by Ted O’Keeffe, General Manager, who reports to the Executive Committee. The Secretariat’s role is to:

  • Manage NISO’s day to day activities including serving its members, replying to enquiries, organising and developing training courses, organising seminars, the conference, the occupational safety awards and other events.
  • Update policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to the required quality standards.
  • Support the regional committees by providing resources as well as administrative and promotional documentations.
  • Implement executive committee decisions.

Ted O'Keeffe

Ted reports to the Executive Committee as the general manager of NISO’s office. He takes an active role in organising and managing the day to day activities of the organisation ably assisted by his colleagues. His hands-on approach and knowledge of NISO provides continuity and successful events year after year.
Warren Azong
Warren AzongBusiness and Finance Manager
Warren manages all accounting functions such as account receivables and payments, budgetary control and the preparation for audits. He produces timely reports to the Executive Committee on such matters. Warren is the key manager responsible for business development.
Susan Birkett
Susan BirkettEvents and Training Executive
Susan looks after NISO’s training programme, coordinates NISO’s event planning and supports NISO members.
Geraldine Brady
Geraldine BradyCommunications Coordinator
Geraldine is editor of NISO’s publications and creates promotional material for NISO’s events and activities. She maintains NISO’s websites and communications with members.
Valerie Weekes
Valerie WeekesBusiness Support
Val maintains NISO’s training facilites, ensures all guests are welcomed and offers support to all members of staff.
Niki Schweighoferova

Niki handles all office administration duties relating to training, course bookings, maintaining databases and answering calls.

NISO has a number of trainers and consultants who are experienced and well qualified health and safety professionals. From maintaining our quality control procedures to developing our QQI accredited courses, our consultants and trainers also instruct on our open and in-company courses.
